ABSTRACT: This study investigates strategies for integrating global perspectives into vocational curricula, aiming to prepare students for globalized workplaces and challenges. The objectives were to (1) identify key global competencies relevant to vocational education, (2) assess current approaches and initiatives for incorporating global perspectives into vocational training, and (3) propose effective strategies to enhance global awareness and competence among vocational students. A survey design was employed to collect data from vocational educators, industry professionals, and students, providing insights into existing practices and their impact on student learning outcomes. The sample size comprised 220 participants, selected through purposive sampling to ensure representation from diverse vocational fields and geographic regions within Nigeria. The case study focused on Cross River State, known for its cultural diversity and emerging global economic connections. Findings revealed that while some efforts were made to integrate global perspectives, there was a need for more structured approaches and cross-cultural exchanges. Effective strategies included developing cross-cultural competency modules, fostering international partnerships for student exchanges and collaborative projects, and incorporating global case studies and simulations into vocational curricula. Recommendations included enhancing global competence among educators through professional development, promoting multicultural awareness in vocational programs, and establishing global certification programs to validate international skills and knowledge.
